Trials & Tibulations

“Trials & Tribulations” travels ever further to the lawless frontiers of future folk music. This time finding An Dannsa in a whirlwind collaboration with Cahalen Morrison (western Centuries) from New Mexico USA & Ciaran Ryan (Dallahan / Shooglenifty) on Banjo.

The project takes inspiration from legendary Appalachian folk artist Ola Belle Reid’s classic track “I’ve Endured” and pays homage to the hundreds and thousands of Scots and Irish who moved to the rugged mountains during the 18th century.

It’s a heartwrenching tale of perseverance amongst the trials and tribulations of life delivered in a soulfull, high energy, wild-west Steppa style. Mixed by Paolo Baldini and dancefloor ready courtesy of La Tempesta Dub. This is different. This is An Dannsa Dub.
