Sick Tamburo

I Sick Tamburo nascono da un’idea di Elisabetta Imelio e Gian Maria Accusani, già precedentemente uniti nell’avventura Prozac+. Elisabetta e Gian Maria scelgono il nome Sick Tamburo, inizialmente pensato per il progetto di percussioni noise di Gian Maria ora conosciuto come Hardcore Tamburo.

I Sick Tamburo iniziano pubblicando su MySpace alcuni brani (Intossicata, Finché tu sei qua, Topoallucinazione e Quel paese) e su YouTube il video di Tocca 24/7, dove appaiono con maschere bianche per celare i volti. Decidono di avvalersi di nicknames: Gian Maria sceglie Mr Man, mentre Elisabetta opta per Boom Girl. Riconosciuti dal pubblico, abbandonano le maschere mantenendo però i passamontagna, che diventeranno un tratto distintivo della loro estetica. Fin da subito si affidano a La Tempesta Dischi, collettivo indipendente guidato dai Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, anch’essi pordenonesi.

Il 10 aprile 2009 esce l’album d’esordio Sick Tamburo, dodici brani scritti e composti da Gian Maria, caratterizzati da ritmiche ripetitive e testi essenziali. La grafica è firmata da Alessandro Baronciani. Il primo singolo ufficiale, Il mio cane con tre zampe, avvia la collaborazione con il regista Stefano Poletti. Seguono premi al MEI – Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti, numerosi concerti e il singolo Parlami per sempre.

Nel 2011 arriva il secondo album, A.I.U.T.O., anticipato dal singolo E so che sai che un giorno. Dodici brani che approfondiscono le tematiche dell’acronimo “Altamente Irritanti Umani Tecniche Ossessive”. La grafica è di Jacopo Lietti per Legno.

Nel 2014 esce Senza vergogna, anticipato dal video Il fiore per te con la partecipazione di Davide Toffolo, autore anche della copertina. È un disco che racconta manie e piccole ossessioni quotidiane. Alla formazione si aggiunge Miss Understanding.

Nel 2017 arriva Un giorno nuovo, quarto disco del gruppo per La Tempesta Dischi, prodotto da Gian Maria Accusani. Contiene nove brani e vede tra gli ospiti Motta in Meno male che ci sei tu.

Dallo stesso album nasce la versione speciale di La fine della chemio, interpretata insieme a Jovanotti, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Manuel Agnelli, Samuel, Elisa, Meg, Lo Stato Sociale, Pierpaolo Capovilla e Prozac+, destinata a un progetto charity a favore di A.N.D.O.S. Pordenone e delle Donne in Rosa Lago Burida.

Nel 2019 esce Paura e l’amore, pubblicato da La Tempesta Dischi.

Nel marzo 2020 viene a mancare Elisabetta Imelio. La band sceglie di proseguire il proprio percorso mantenendo vivo lo spirito artistico costruito insieme, fondato su sincerità, vulnerabilità e un linguaggio musicale diretto e profondamente umano.

Nel 2021 arriva Back to the Roots (Forse è l’amore), nove brani dalla loro discografia riarrangiati in stile punk melodico.

Nel 2023 esce il sesto album, Non credere a nessuno, ancora per La Tempesta Dischi e anticipato dai singoli Per sempre con me — con Roberta Sammarelli dei Verdena — e Il colore si perde.

Nel 2025 i Sick Tamburo inaugurano un nuovo capitolo con Ho perso i sogni, un brano intenso e cinematografico che racconta la perdita dell’innocenza attraverso gli occhi di un tredicenne travolto dalla guerra. Prodotto, registrato e mixato da Gian Maria Accusani, il singolo anticipa il nuovo album atteso per l’inizio del 2026, un lavoro che riporta la band al cuore emotivo e viscerale del proprio percorso artistico.

Sick Tamburo were founded by Elisabetta Imelio and Gian Maria Accusani, previously united in the adventure of Prozac+. They chose the name Sick Tamburo, originally conceived for Gian Maria’s noise-percussion project, later known as Hardcore Tamburo.

The band first appeared on MySpace, sharing early tracks (Intossicata, Finché tu sei qua, Topoallucinazione, Quel paese), and on YouTube with the video for Tocca 24/7, where they hid their faces behind white masks. Both adopted nicknames — Mr Man and Boom Girl — but were soon recognized. They abandoned the masks yet kept the balaclavas, which quickly became a defining element of their aesthetic. From the very beginning, they joined forces with La Tempesta Dischi, the independent collective led by Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, also from Pordenone.

On April 10, 2009, the band released their self-titled debut album, Sick Tamburo, twelve tracks written and composed by Gian Maria, marked by repetitive rhythms and minimalist lyrics. Artwork was created by Alessandro Baronciani. The first official single, Il mio cane con tre zampe, marked the start of their collaboration with director Stefano Poletti. The band received awards at the MEI – Meeting delle Etichette Indipendenti, toured nationally, and later released the single Parlami per sempre.

Their second album, A.I.U.T.O., arrived in 2011, preceded by the single E so che sai che un giorno. Its twelve tracks explored the themes behind the acronym “Altamente Irritanti Umani Tecniche Ossessive.” The artwork was created by Jacopo Lietti for Legno.

In 2014, they released Senza vergogna, anticipated by the video Il fiore per te, featuring Davide Toffolo, who also created the album cover. The record delves into the small obsessions and quirks of everyday life. During this period, Miss Understanding joined the band on bass and vocals.

The fourth album, Un giorno nuovo, arrived in 2017 through La Tempesta Dischi. Produced by Gian Maria Accusani, it expanded the band’s sonic palette with interwoven electric guitars, driving rhythms and wave-influenced melodies. The track Meno male che ci sei tu features Motta.

From the same record came a special version of La fine della chemio, interpreted by Jovanotti, Tre Allegri Ragazzi Morti, Manuel Agnelli, Samuel, Elisa, Meg, Lo Stato Sociale, Pierpaolo Capovilla and Prozac+, in a charity project supporting A.N.D.O.S. Pordenone and the Donne in Rosa Lago Burida team.

In 2019 the band released Paura e l’amore, once again via La Tempesta Dischi.

In March 2020, Elisabetta Imelio passed away. The band chose to continue, keeping alive the artistic spirit built together — a vision rooted in sincerity, vulnerability, and a distinct musical language that has always been deeply human.

In 2021 they released Back to the Roots (Forse è l’amore), a collection of nine re-arranged tracks from their earlier catalogue, reimagined in melodic punk style.

Their sixth album, Non credere a nessuno, arrived in 2023, once again through La Tempesta Dischi, preceded by the singles Per sempre con me — featuring Roberta Sammarelli of Verdena — and Il colore si perde.

In 2025 Sick Tamburo opened a new chapter with the single Ho perso i sogni, an intense, cinematic track that tells the story of innocence lost through the eyes of a thirteen-year-old caught in the devastation of war. Produced, recorded and mixed by Gian Maria Accusani, the song anticipates the band’s new album, expected in early 2026 — a work that marks a return to the emotional core and visceral urgency of their artistic journey.
