Over the past twelve months, following the release of Pull Up, the first single from their latest album 7, Mellow Mood began sharing the track’s riddim with friends and fellow artists, inviting them to voice their own interpretations over the same groove.
The idea was simple and rooted in tradition: to bring the riddim compilation format back to life — a cornerstone of Jamaican reggae culture where multiple singers ride the same instrumental, each adding their own story, tone, and energy.
Though less common today, riddim compilations remain one of reggae’s most vibrant and communal expressions, celebrating collaboration and creative freedom.
The first release from this project is Can’t Kill My Vibe, a collaboration between rising French talent Davojah and Mellow Mood — a laid-back, feel-good tune carried by messages of positivity, strength, and resilience.
