Luca Bolognesi è Palazzi D'Oriente: produttore, compositore, membro fondatore di 72-HOUR POST FIGHT e 2004Sgrang.
Il suono delle sue produzioni, slegato da classificazioni di genere, rimanda ad una personale ricerca nel downtempo attingendo alla cultura dubstep e post-rock. Nasce nei pressi del lago Maggiore e cresce in provincia di Varese, dove incontra e conosce Alessandro Vanetti (Massimo Pericolo), suo vicino di casa, e la maggior parte dei componenti di 2004 Sgrang, tra questi Carlo Luciano Porrini (Fight Pausa).
Dopo aver lavorato a varie produzioni, pubblica agli inizi del 2018 il suo primo lavoro come Palazzi D’Oriente: “morgengabe” inizialmente distribuito come self-release DIY. Nei mesi successivi Luca porta in scena una performance audio-video in diversi eventi a Milano, entrando così in contatto con l’etichetta “La Tempesta” con cui decide di ripubblicare “morgengabe” in formato digitale.
Durante il 2018 avvia assieme a Fight Pausa “72-HOUR POST FIGHT”, progetto collaborativo dove la natura elettronica delle loro produzioni si combina con l’intervento di due strumentisti (Andrea Dissimile, Adalberto Valsecchi). L’album è stato rilasciato da La Tempesta International agli inizi del 2019, seguito il 25 ottobre dello stesso anno da un edizione in doppio vinile accompagnata da una versione del disco interamente reinterpretata da vari artisti vicini al progetto.
Nel 2019 viene ripubblicata anche la prima collaborazione con Massimo Pericolo: Sabbie d’oro, originariamente rilasciata nel 2018, certificata Disco D’oro nel 2020. Nel 2020 l’artista collabora anche con la Visual Artist Rebecca Salvadori al progetto audiovisivo “Flux 101”.
Nel 2021 Palazzi D’Oriente ritorna nei cataloghi di La Tempesta International con un nuovo album: “Sheltering Water”. Il disco, un cinematico susseguirsi di suggestioni elettroniche e field recordings realizzati dall’artista, è pesantemente suggestionato dal folklore locale dell’area del Lago Maggiore in cui l’artista è cresciuto e dall’alienazione che la provincia italiana genera. Una personale riflessione su vita, morte e l’influenza che questo luogo hanno sul destino delle persone che le abitano.
Luca Bolognesi is Palazzi D’Oriente, producer and composer, founding member of the band 72-HOUR POST FIGHT.
Born in the Lake Maggiore area (Italy), he makes his debut as Palazzi D’Oriente in 2018 with “morgengabe” – a four-track record initially self-relea- sed in DIY USB stick. After the debut release he stages different one-shot audio / video performances in Milan, getting in touch with the label “La Tempesta International” with which he republi- shes “morgengabe” in digital format.
During 2018 he starts with Fight Pausa “72-HOUR POST FIGHT”, a collaborative project that turns into a full band. A s/t band al- bum is released by “La Tempesta International” in early 2019, reaching an outstanding feedback from the Italian audience, especially thanks to their live acts. In less than a year the band succeeds to play on the biggest Italian stages including Club- 2Club Festival, sharing the stage with Battles and Black Midi. On October 25th of the same year the band releases a dou-ble vinyl edition accompanied by a fully remixed version of the record from various artists (including Lamusa II, Ben Vince, Cooly G, Yakamoto Kotzuga).
In 2019 Luca also produces the critically acclaimed Massimo Pericolo single: Sabbie d’oro reaching the attention of the big audience, making him one of the leading figures between pop and avant-garde in Italy. In December 2020, Palazzi teams up with the visual artist Rebecca Salvadori presenting “Flux 101”. The project was pre- miered on Inverted Audio and released on La Tempesta Dischi.
In 2021 Palazzi D’Oriente returns to the catalogs of La Tempesta International with a new album: “Sheltering Water”. The album, a cinematic succession of electronic suggestions and field recordings made by the artist, is heavily influenced by the local folklore of the Lake Maggiore area where the artist grew up and by the alienation that the Italian province generates. A personal reflection on life, death and the influence that this place has on the destiny of the people who live there.
